REGISTRATION
When you create an account and your child participates in the program and/or you participate as a volunteer then you will follow all AYSO National and Regional rules & policies without exception. You will be responsible for any guest you bring or allow to attend so that they also follow these rules and policies.

OPEN / CREATE A SPORTS CONNECT ACCOUNT
To register your child as a participant in the soccer program, you must have an account on our Sports Connect local portal https://www.ayso73.org. Creating an account is required once for a parent then use the account each year.

See also under menu item PARENTS for more information.

eMail Address and Logon ID
The parent must have a unique email address which will become the logon ID for the account.
The account holder is the primary account holder. This person is responsible for all payments and correspondence
with AYSO region 73 concerning the participating player(s).
A secondary account holder may be allowed on the account and has some restriction.

Participant / Player Registration
Register your child as a player for a current soccer program (e.g. Fall 2023) in your Sports Connect account.
You must be the parent (or legal guardian) of the child in your household. Do not let a coach or other person
sign up your child and you pay him/her membership fees. This practice is illegal and violates AYSO Rules
and regulations and insurance policies.
AYSO R73 communicates with the primary account holder who is responsible for emergency contacts, allowing emergency treatments and making decisions for the player as part of their household.

UNIFORM ORDERING
The player uniform ordering is now handled through AYSO Sports Connect system. The parent registering the player must enter the uniform sizes for jersey, socks, and shorts and the accurate shipping address details

AYSO Region 73 cannot change orders and will not be responsible for uniform sizes and the shipping address.
It is the full responsibility of the person registering the player(s) to enter accurate uniform and shipping address information. (
Take a moment to double-check your child’s uniform size to ensure the proper fit.)
Because uniforms are custom ordered, there will be no refund for wrongly ordered uniforms.

Ensure that the shipping address for the uniform is accurate.
There is no refund or re-shipment for an inaccurate shipping address.

Contact AYSO R73 at [email protected] for placing orders for additional uniforms.

KEEP YOUR SPORTS CONNECT ACCOUNT CURRENT
AYSO will use your account information as needed to contact you for payments and for refunds.
The child is placed in the age division based on the year of birth as per the current rules of registration.
The system creates random balanced teams as per AYSO philosophy based on player evaluations of previous seasons.
The player skills are evaluated by coaches each season to help the system balance the team average strength.

Report if you suspect illegal manipulation of the system to get certain players in a team circumventing the balanced team philosophy of AYSO. We want all players to have fun.
AYSO has more competitive levels than the core program. Core is mainly for fun and player development.
Contact us about other AYSO programs.

FEES

INSURANCE

The AYSO insurance will be secondary to your household insurance and only becomes effective after you have paid all the fees including the AYSO National Fee*. Your account must show complete on the order.

*REGIONAL FEES

The regional fee is shown when you log on and select the age division. There are limited discounts like 3 and more siblings in same household.

*AYSO NATIONAL FEE

AYSO National requires that every player, in every region, pay an annual membership fee. The AYSO National membership fee is separate from the local regional registration fee.
It must be paid before a player may participate in any AYSO program or event.
In the shopping cart at the very end of the checkout process it shows as a separate line item.
The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Even if your player unregisters from a program.
This is the National AYSO system and pays for Insurance and state and federal requirements and AYSO administration expenses. The fee is paid once per year. AYSO year runs from 1st July to next year June 30th.Currently this is $25 per player.

*TRANSACTION FEE

The Sports Connect program charges a transaction fee and is non-refundable. Currently this is $2.75 per transaction.
These fees will be shown and added during check-out and payment as another line item.
To save transaction fees please register all players in one session and pay once.

*REFUND POLICY

Please read our refund policies on the main menu under the REFUND POLICY tab.

VOLUNTEERS

AYSO is a volunteer driven organization and nobody gets paid to help with the soccer program. Parents and volunteers will together shape the program in our region and we encourage every family to find some volunteers to help with the program. Your volunteer does not have to be the parent or in the same household. Each volunteer has an individual Sports Connect account. Volunteers and youth volunteer have their own account. A family circle can be created by having one parent invite other (youth) volunteers using the invite option (not myself) when selecting roles in the volunteer procedure.
A volunteer coach can have his own child on the team. A player can be a youth volunteer providing meeting the requirements.

Please look at the main menu under the tab VOLUNTEERING & TRAINING how to register and sign up as an AYSO volunteer.
