AYSO Region 73 – Post‑Season Playoffs
At the conclusion of the Fall Season, the Regional Board will select eligible teams from each division (10U–14U) for post‑season playoffs. Selection is based on a team’s demonstrated support of the regional program and compliance with all Regional and National AYSO requirements.
Eligibility and Good Standing
Teams considered must:
Meet all regional requirements, including proper registration, training, and sponsorship.
Show strong sportsmanship and community support, such as helping other coaches, referees, and players.
Support the region by volunteering for field clean‑up, line painting, and concession duties.
Participate in scheduled games with qualified referees present (per AYSO National R&R).
Participation in Region 73 playoffs does not automatically qualify a team for post‑season tournaments outside the region. Only teams meeting additional Post‑Season Soccer requirements may be recommended for those events.
Referee Participation Requirements
Refereeing is vital to the success of our soccer program. Each team benefits the region when their referees volunteer across multiple games.
Adult team referees are encouraged to serve instead of assigning this duty to coaches.
Referees must be registered, certified, and trained, completing all safety courses and working a minimum of 7–9 games by season’s end.
Referees must be listed in the CGI Ref Assignment system and have no conflicts of interest with teams they officiate.
Referee points are awarded weekly for participation (up to a set maximum), before the next game day. Points are non-transferable.
Mistakes in scoring will be corrected by the Referee Administration staff, whose decisions are final.
