Volunteer-Run Concession

• Concession services are operated by volunteers and serve the AYSO community.

• Volunteers are always welcome — helping for even a few hours supports local families.

• The concession stand is licensed by the City of Bakersfield and must comply with all city ordinances and food‑handling regulations.

Products

• The menu includes a limited selection of items, depending on community demand.

• Because of short shelf lives, products are sold quickly to minimize waste.

• Prices are kept as low as possible while still covering costs and health compliance.

• The region emphasizes environmental awareness (recycling and waste reduction).

Payment Options

• Accepted payments: cash, Zelle, and credit cards (via Square Terminal).

• Zelle is used for simplicity, but debit‑card‑linked Zelle transactions cannot be processed by the bank.

• Credit card payments involve fees, which are factored into product pricing since AYSO is a nonprofit organization.

Vendor and Sales Policy

• Only vendors with a written agreement with AYSO Region 73 may sell products at the Kaiser Permanente Bakersfield Sports Village.

• Vendors must carry City of Bakersfield licenses and product liability insurance.

• Unauthorized vendors are operating illegally. Buying from them is at your own risk, and AYSO Region 73 or the City will not compensate buyers for any injuries, illnesses, or losses.

Barbecues and Grills

• The City of Bakersfield strictly prohibits barbecues and grills near the soccer fields.

• They are considered fire and injury hazards and can damage park facilities.

• Anyone using such equipment may be liable for damages and subject to legal action.

Enforcement and Monitoring

• The City’s Park Rangers and Police help monitor the soccer fields.

• AYSO Region 73 may request their assistance to address violations or unauthorized activity.
