YOUR PLAYER EVALUATIONS ARE DUE MAY 10, 2024

Instructions for completing the player evaluation form for coaches.

Formats:  Download Player Evaluation Form (xlsx). In  PDF:Player Evaluation Form (pdf).
Please forward Player Evaluation on time . We are looking for Fall 2024. Your player evaluations are important.
Submit your player evaluation by email to our Regional Coach Administrator (RCA) and/or email and/or hand deliver to the Referee Station where it will be forwarded to the RCA.

As discussed at the team parent and coach orientation, we need a player evaluation for each of your players so that AYSO can have best possible balanced teams for the following season. The importance of accurate player evaluation is truly critical.
AYSO coaches want highest quality program for all players and not just pick and choose talented players to form a team which beats every team with 12-0. What is the fun in that and how are players learning from that?
So balanced teams is very very important in the players development cycle so they can improve from week to week and season to season. Players do this only when it is fun working with the coach and the team mates to improve on physical abilities and skills.
We are using the AYSO National player evaluations and guidelines. Before we begin all coaches should already made regular evaluations during the season using the Evaluation Sheet in Appendix C . The manual can be downloaded from ETU Documents Folder. Click here for AYSO 14U Coach Manual Appendices A-G. It is similar for other coach manuals.

The ratings in Appendix C are given from 1 to 5 for items under the headings Technical, Tactical, Physical, Psychosocial.
From these evaluation sheets you kept track of players development and also what the score would be for each of the items listed in the categories on the end of season Player Evaluation Sheet we created for most divisions.
