Fun! That It's All About
What “Kids Zone” Means
AYSO believes soccer should be fun for all players, families, and volunteers.
Kids Zone is a reminder that the fields belong to the kids — a place for respect, positivity, and enjoyment, not pressure or negativity.
The Kids Zone Promise
Everyone — parents, spectators, coaches, and players — is encouraged to live by this simple pledge:
I promise to honor the game. I will respect all participants, encourage good sportsmanship, and keep soccer fun.
This means:
Kids are #1, and their happiness matters more than the score.
Fun, not winning, is the goal.
Fans cheer, coaches coach — and no one yells in anger.
Always show respect for volunteer referees and officials.
Avoid swearing, abusive language, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or weapons at any event.
Leave no trash behind — keep fields clean.
Be a role model of sportsmanship for all kids watching.
The Bigger Purpose
Kids Zone is about honoring the game itself, not just the outcome.
It’s about cheering for every child on the field — even those on the opposing team — and making sure every AYSO event stays a safe, positive, and joyful space for young athletes.
