OUT OF REGION PLAY
Team interested in out of region play must have approval.
This approval must be obtained from the Regional Commissioner.
Complete an Out Of Region Play Form, OORP and submit to the regional commissioner (RC).
INFORMATION
SUBMIT OORP EARLY, LIKE 3RD GAME DAY IN SEASON.
- OORP processing requires time as the regional board needs to evaluate and check certain facts.
- Pre-approval. An OORP form can be submitted without tournament or event application.
- Every tournament application must be reviewed by RC and include (pre-approved) OORP
(the coach should ask for the OORP info package. It includes a check list)
- New team formation for travelling team must wait until last two weeks in core season
- Players and team volunteers require minimum 75% participating in R73 season.
- A coach can only represent and apply for one team for OORP in each AYSO year
RECRUITING PLAYERS FROM OTHER TEAMS THAN OWN TEAM
Some tournaments may allow up to 3 guest players of other regions. In such case:
- Approval is required from coach of team of guest player.
- A guest player form must be included in the application.
- Approval is required from RC of guest player's region.
EVERY AYSO TOURNAMENT MAY REQUIRE REFEREES
Most tournaments require that the teams provide adult referees.
The requirements can vary and may include the following:
- A referee deposit with entry in the tournament
- 1 crew of 3 referees or 2 referees
- Ref assignments are to be (self-) assigned
- Ref deposit refund when ref assignments are completed
- Area and Section invitationals require additional ref crews from the region.
AYSO EXTRA PROGRAM
If a team participates in an Extra Program then they have received information.
Extra team playing in home region 73 must provide a crew of 3 referees or home game is an automatic loss 0-1
Extra team must support the AYSO core program in region 73 and must have approval from Area Director.
Extra teams are a travelling team and play in a Section 10 circuit with Section 10 Rules.
AYSO MORE COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS
AYSO has programs which are even more competitive but require commitment from coach and players and parents.
