AYSO R73 REFUND POLICY

AYSO Region Refund Policy – All Seasons

We understand that situations sometimes arise where a player cannot continue after registering. Our refund policy outlines what portions of your registration payment may be refunded and under what conditions.

Registration Fee Breakdown

Your registration fee includes:

  • Regional Fee: Covers costs of operating the local soccer program and one player uniform. (This portion may be refundable.)

  • National Fee: Covers AYSO National insurance and administrative costs. (Non-transferable and non-refundable.)

  • Transaction Fee: Charged by third-party vendors such as Sports Connect for handling payment processing. (Non-transferable and non-refundable.)

Refund Request Process

  • Refund requests must be submitted by email only to:

  • Subject line: REFUND REQUEST FOR [Player’s Name] [Season & Year]

  • Email body must include:
    Player’s full legal name, date of birth, reason for request, valid U.S. mailing address, and phone number.

Important guidelines:

  • Requests made before registration closes will receive all monies paid except for the AYSO National Fee, transaction fees, and any applicable regional cost deductions.

  • Refunds will be issued only to the primary account holder who made the payment.

  • Refund payments will be made by check or electronic means (Zelle preferred). No cash refunds.

  • Only one request per player — multiple requests may delay or void processing.

  • All refunds must be approved at a regional board meeting; board decisions are final.

  • Allow 4–6 weeks for processing, though it may take longer if the board cannot meet promptly.

Refund Conditions and Notes

  • N1: The registration page lists a cutoff date after which refund requests may not be considered. See Registration Page.

  • N2: If a uniform was received, it must be returned to qualify for a refund.

  • N3: No refund or replacement is issued for uniforms with inaccurate sizes or shipping information.

  • N4: Transaction fees are non-refundable (as of 5/28/25, the fee is $3.50 per transaction). We recommend registering all players in one household together in a single transaction.

  • N5: The AYSO National Fee ($25 per player) is non-refundable and non-transferable. It covers registration and insurance for one AYSO membership year (July 1–June 30).

  • N6: Refund processing steps:

    1. Registration is verified in the Sports Connect portal.

    2. Verified requests are presented to the regional board for review.

    3. If approved, the Regional Treasurer issues the refund after obtaining authorization.

  • Act fast: You must contact the Regional Commissioner, Julio Velez, within 48 hours of registration to qualify for a full refund.

  • Do not dispute the charge with your credit card provider. Doing so:

    • Triggers at least a $35 chargeback fee, which will be billed to you.

    • Must be paid before you can complete any new registrations.

  • The timestamp of your email or text is used to confirm that your refund request was made on time.
