Region 73 Jamboree (U5) Program

Welcome to Region 73! We abide by the AYSO philosophies of Balanced Teams, Everyone Plays, Positive Coaching, Open Registration and Good Sportsmanship. Our Jamboree (U-5) policies and procedures are established along with National AYSO guidelines to ensure that all children can play soccer in a Fun, Fair and Safe Environment. We want to thank-you in advance for giving your time and effort in service to our Jamboree program.

> T
he Jamboree program is for both boys and girls. There are no assigned coaches and no mid-week practices.

> The training sessions will be held at the Kaiser Permanente Sports Village. All children will report to the area West of the AYSO Concession Building at field 5 and 6.

> The training session has 4 stages which are integrated in the session. Warm up, simple activities, more complex activities, play and cool off period. The activities are to develop major motor skills, social interaction, hand-eye and foot-eye coordination in a playful, fun family environment.  The various play themes used at the weekly sessions makes it more attractive for the players.

> The Jamboree program has a master coach with some assistants. The master coach will oversee the training session. They will explain and demonstrate the elements in the training session. Participation is necessary, so we encourage parents, grandparents, and siblings to get involved and participate with the child. It is the child's parent or family member who will serve as mentor to the child and assist them in the drills and modules as they are the one they are most familiar to the child before they may start experimenting on their own in the new environment on the soccer field.

> Each child should wear their uniform to the sessions. Bring a size 3 soccer ball, soccer or tennis shoes, shin guards and water and snacks.  In sessions players like to hold on to their ball. Write their name and Phone# on it.

> The shoes must be safe for all players so no sharp edges or pointed knobs are permitted. Shins guards worn under the socks are required at all times while training and playing in these training and game sessions. Games are for fun only. No goalkeepers. No standings.

We are here for the kids! Your suggestions that can benefit all players in the program are welcome.
