Step‑by‑Step OORP Process
1. Before You Start
Purpose: OORP lets teams keep playing after the season, but only if they meet AYSO standards and get regional approval.
Approval Email: You must get written approval from the Regional Commissioner — contact [email protected] before sending any tournament applications.
Deadline: Submit your first (pre‑check) OORP by October 12 to stay on track. Starting late does not speed up the process.
2. Get Organized
Assign a Tournament Coordinator – One parent volunteer manages paperwork and deadlines.
Review AYSO Vision & Mission – Every player, coach, and parent should understand and uphold them.
Follow AYSO Policies – The team must comply with all national and regional rules.
Plan Ahead – Choose tournaments early; check for holidays and travel times.
Complete the OORP Application – One application per tournament.
Download Tournament Details – Print the rules, entry forms, and any required CPF (Consolidated Payment Form) or IPLs (Individual Payment Letters).
Collect Payments – Each player fills out and signs an IPL for their individual contribution.
Total Payments – Fill out a CPF, adding up all IPLs.
Verify Totals – The total of all IPLs must exactly match the CPF total. The coach covers any shortfall.
Submit the Package – Deliver the complete OORP packet (OORP + tournament application + CPF + all IPLs) to the Regional Commissioner for review/approval.
Pay the Tournament Fee – After OORP approval, collect the Region 73 check to send as tournament payment.
