Waitlist Overview

Because of increasing late sign‑ups, we can no longer always meet the deadlines for uniforms, coach communication, and training if players register after the regular registration period closes.

To handle late registrations fairly, we use the waitlist. When a spot opens, families have 48 hours to complete payment online. If payment is not received in time, the spot is offered to the next player on the waitlist.


1. Why is a player put on the waitlist?

  • The regular registration period is closed; or

  • The maximum number of players in that division has been reached.


2. What does it mean to be on the waitlist?

  • You will receive an email confirming that your player is on the waitlist.

  • There is no guarantee of a place on a team, but your player may get a spot if one opens.

  • Your account will show a $0 charge while on the waitlist.

  • Please check your email often.


3. How are players taken off the waitlist?

  • Players are taken off the waitlist on a first‑on, first‑off basis.

  • When a team opening becomes available, the system sends you an email with instructions.

  • Log in to your Sports Connect account and go to your shopping cart.

  • Click View/Pay to pay the open balance.

  • You must complete payment within 48 hours.

  • Once payment is completed, your player is officially registered and placed on a team.


4. What if I do not complete registration within 48 hours?

  • Your player may lose that immediate opportunity to be placed on a team.

  • The next player on the waitlist is then offered the spot, starting again with the email and payment step.

  • This process continues until the waitlist is empty or a player completes registration and payment.


Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: When I registered and was placed on the waitlist, I thought I paid.
A: All waitlisted players show a $0 registration charge, even after completing the online registration steps. If you actually paid, the system will send you an email receipt showing the amount paid.


Q2: I was on the waitlist, then taken off, but my player is not registered.
A: Once your player is taken off the waitlist, you have 48 hours to pay the registration balance. Only after payment is completed is your player fully enrolled for the season.


Q3: I never got the message that my player was taken off the waitlist and payment was needed.
A:

  • Check that your Sports Connect account has your current email and phone number.

  • If your email changed and is not yet updated in Sports Connect, please email us so we can help.


Q4: If my player misses the 48‑hour deadline, are they put back on the waitlist automatically?
A: No. If the 48‑hour window is missed, the spot is offered to the next player. To try again, you must re‑register manually if space becomes available.


Q5: Why is the response time only 48 hours?
A: There are usually multiple players on the waitlist, and we need to place them on teams quickly so they can receive information and uniforms on time. Longer delays in the past caused anxiety and complaints. A 48‑hour window has worked well for many families and helps us provide timely, fair service to our community.
