The Out Of Region Play (OORP) Request is for traveling teams willing to participate in tournaments outside our region 73. This requires approval of the Regional Commissioner.
The OORP request is for the regional commissioner to start early in the easy verifying that the team meets all requirements for the tournament. The tournament papers must be included with the OORP request unless it is a preliminary OORP request.
ASK the RC for the tournament Info package early in the season. This includes forms and info for coach and parents and players.
The team understands that they represent the region and must be in good standing and meet all the requirements for a travelling team. The OORP requests must be done early so the Regional Staff has enough time to determine if the team has met all requirements. The team will be informed what they are missing or need to complete. This is not a rush job and the OORP request may be rejected if there is not enough time to verify or some credentials are missing which the team cannot complete in time for tournament registration.
Team parents must sign the Kids Zone pledge if they have not done so during the season. The coach is responsible for all paperwork.
AYSO rules emphasizes that NOT the coach or assistant coach should handle money on behalf of the parents.
If one payment is forwarded for all fees then the check should be issued preferably by the Team Manager (or team treasurer) with the Consolidated Payment Letter and attached the Individual Payment Letters of all parents contributing. ANY refund to the team will be paid directly to the parents based on the Individual Payment Letters. If the refund is to be used for a team party or donation to AYSO R73 then this must be declared on both the Consolidated Payment Form and Individual Payment Letters.
